NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 22nd April. 1981

CENTRAL EXCISES

G.S.R. 302 (E).—In exercise of the powers coneferred by section 37 of the

Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby

makes the following roles further to amend the Central Excise Rule«.

1944,

namely :—

1 (1) These rules may be called the Central Excise (12th Amendment) Rules,

1981.

(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of May, 1981.

2. In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in rule 2, in clause (iia),—

(i) in sub-clause (a) for the words, "Collector Central Excise, Nagpur:

Collector of Central Excise, Hyderabad and Collector of Central

Excise. Guntur," the words "and Collector of

Central

Excise,

Nagpur," shall be substituted;

(ii) in sub-clause (d) after the words "Collector of Central

Excise,

Madurai", the words "; Collector of Central Excise, Hyderabad;

Collector of Cenetral Excise, Guntur" shall be inserted.
