NOTIFICATIONS

CUSTOMS

G.S.R. 303(E).—In exercise of the powers

conferred by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is neces-

sary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts power

operated briquetting presses for compacting cellulosic waste

material into fuel briquettes, and parts and accessories

of

such presses falling within Chapters 82, 84 or 85 of the First

Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when

imported into India, from —

(a) BO much of that portion of the duty of customs

leviable

thercon

which is

specified in the laid

First Schedule as is in excess of 25 per cent ad

valorem; and

(b) the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon

under section 3 of the second mentioned Act.

G.S.R. 304(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), read with sub-clause (4) of clause 47 of the Finarice

Bill, 1981, which clause has, by virtue of the declaration made

in the said Bill under the Provisional Collection of

Taxes

Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law, the Central

Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public

interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment

in the notification of the Government of India in the Minis-

try of Finance (Department of

Revenue) No. 47-Customs,

dated 1st March, 1981, namely :—

In the Schedule to the said notification, after Serial No. 72

and the entries relating thereto, the following Serial No. and

entries shall be inserted, namely :—

"73. NOL 113—Customs, dated the 23rd April, 1981."
