CUSTOMS

G.fS.R. 313(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

lection (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962),

the Central Government, being saistisfied that It is necessary in

the public interest so. to do, hereby directs that each of the

notification's of the Government of India in the Department of

Revenue tad Banking specified in column (2) of the Table hereto

annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may

be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column

(3) of the said Table.

of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is

necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts ulloy

steel (excluding stainless steel) and high carbon steel in the

forms mentioned in sub-heading No. (1) of Heading No. 73.06/

07 and Heading No. 73.10 of Ihc First Schedule to the

Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) and falling under

sub-heading No. (I) of Heading No, 73.15 of the said Fiist

Schedule from so much of that portion of the duty cf cus-

toms leviable thereon which is specified in the said Firjt

Schedule, as is in excess of forty-five per cent ad valorem.

G.S.R. 315(JE).—In exercise of the powers conferred by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of ihe Customs Act, 1962 (52

of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is

necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts

hollow mining drill steel, falling under Heading No. 73.10

of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51

of 1975), from so much of that portion of the duty of cus-

toms leviable thereon which h specified in the said First Sche-

dule as is in excess of thirty per cent ad valorem,
