Subject : Import Policy for April 1981-March 1982—Import

of Dry fruits (excluding cashewnuts and dates).

import policy for April 1981-March 1982, published under the

Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 13-ITC(PN)/81, dated

the 3rd April 1981.

2. The following further amendments shall be made In the

said import policy at the appropriate places indicated against

each :—

(i) The existing para 108

shall be re-numbered as

(ii) After tho existing Sub-

para (1) as re-numbered

above, the following fur-

ther sub-paras shall be

added :• —

"(2) Instead of apply-

ing for an import licence

on the basis laid down

in sub-para (I) above, it

will be open to the appli-

cant to apply for import

licence equal to 50 per

cent of Ms imports of

dry fruits (excluding ca-

shewnuts and dates) du-

ring the year 1977-78,

subjoct to a minimum of

Rs. 10,000/-. The appli-

cant having no import

during 1977-78, will not

be eligible under this sub-

para. The last date for

submission of import ap-

plications and the docu-

ments to bo furnished

with the Import applica-

tion will be tho same as

in sub-para (1) above.

(3) It will be open to

an applicant to apply for

an import licence cither

under sub-para (1) or

under sub-para (2) above

as he may choose, but

not under both."
