Subject : Hxport Policy uf Baiytcs,

File N«. 6(6)81-EIL.—At'ention is

invited to the expon policy appearing

against S. No. 45(vii) in Col. 3, in S. No. 1 of Policy Statement at page 17

of Export Policy Book. 1981-82, according to which Barytas Lumps and powder

is allowed for expoit by M.M.T.C. and Mine Owners within their own produc-

tion.

2. It has been decided to allow M.M.T.C. /Mine-owners to export Barj-lfs

Powder in five ply kraft paper bags poking subject to the floor price of US

S 73/- per M.T. F.O.B.

3 It has further been decided to substitute the existing entry appeal ing

in col, 3 In S. No. 1 against S. No. 45fvii) of the Policy Statement in the

Export Policy Book, 1981-82, with the following :—

"Export of Bartyes lumps and powder OCMA/API Grade (with. 4.20

specific gravity) will lie allowed by the regional licesinj; authorities

by (i) M.M.T.C. and (ii) Mine Owners to the extent not exceeding

their own p;odiicf.^:on.

Such exports will be subject to floor price

and other conditions announced from time to time".
