NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 6th May, 1981

O.N. 12(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House

of the People by the reason of the resignation by Shri Vishwa

Nath Pratap Singh, a member elected to that House from

56-Allahabad Parliamentary constituency in the State of Uttar

Pradesh;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-sec-

tion (1) of section 149 of the Representation of the People

Act. 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls

upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said

vacancy before 18th June, 1981 (Thursday) in accordance with

the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders

made thereunder,

bye-election to be held in 56-Allahabad Parliamentary consti-

tuency in the State of Uttar Pradesh in pursuance of its Noti-

fication No. lOO/UP-HP/6/80(l), dated the 6th May, 19S1.

(a) 13th May,

1981 (Wednesday) as the last date

for

making nominations ,

(b) 14ih May, 1981 (Thursday) as the date for the scrutiny

of notftrftations ;

<c) 16th May, 1981 (Saturday) as the last date for ih;

withdrawal of candidatures;

(d) 14th June, 1981 (Sunday) as the date on which a poll

shall, if necessary, be taken; and

<e) 18th June, 1981 (Thursday) as the date before \\hLh

trie election shall be completed.

hereby fixes the hours from 7.30 <\.M. to -1.30 P.M. as the hours

during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the bye-

election to the House of the People from 56-Al^!ahabad Parlia-

mentary constituency to be held in pursuance of its Notifica-

tion No. 100/UP-HP/6/80(l)s dated ihe 6th May, 1981.
