CENTRAL EXCISES

G. S. R. 350 (E),

In exercise of the powers conferred, by

sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of ihe Central Excise Rules, 1944 the Central

Government hereby exempts the goods specified in the Table

below and failing under Item No. 68 of the first Schedule to

the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), from the

whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon.

THE TABLE

(i) Flat plate solar collectors

(ii) Concentrating and pipe type solar collectors

(iii) Solar cookers

(iv) Solar water heaters and system t

-(ai^ir/gas/fluid

heating systems

(vi) Solar crop driers and systems

(vii) Solar stills and desalination systems

(viii) Solar pumps based on solar thermal anil solar photo-

voltaic conversion

(ix) Solar power generating systems

(x) Solar photovoltaic modules and panels for water pump-

ing and other applications.

(xi) Wind mills and any specially designed devices which

run on wind mills

(xii) Any special devices including electric generators and

pumps running on wind energy

(xiii) Biogas plants and biogas engines

(xiv) Agricultural and municipal waste conversion devices

producing energy

(xv) Equipment for utilising ocean waves & thermal energy.
