NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 23rd October, 1981

S.O. 771(E).—Whereas Shri S. Thangasami was appointed

as a Member of the Madras Dock Labour Board being a re-

presentative of the Madras Harbour Workers Union, by

notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Ship-

ping and Transport (Transport Wing) No. S.O. 412(E), dated

the 27th June, 1978 ;

And whereas the Madras Harbour Workers Union has

decided to nominate Shri T. Elumalai as a Member of the

said Union;

And whereas the Central Government is of opinion that

Shri S. Thangasami is deemed to have vacated his office

under clause (v) of sub-rule (5) of rule 4 of Dock. Workers

(Regulation of Employment) Rules, 1962;

And whereas a vacancy has occurred in the said Dock

Labour Board;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of rule 4

of the Dock Workers (Regulation of Employment) Rules

1962, the Central Government hereby notifies the said

vacancy.

S.O. 772(E).—In exercise of the powers confer] ed by sub-

section (3) of section 5-A of the Dock Workers (Regulation

of Employment) Act, 1948 (9 of 1948), read with the second

proviso to sub-rule (1) of rule 4 of the Dock Workers (Regu-

lation of Employment) Rules, 1962, the Central Government

hereby appoints Shri T. Elumalai as a Member of the Madias

Dock Labour Board vice Shri S. Thangasami, who has vacated

his office and for that purpose amends the notification of the

Government of India in the Ministry of Shipping and Trans-

port (Transport Wing) No. S.O. 412(E), dated the 27th June,

1978, as follows :—

In the said notification, under the heading "Members

representing the dock workers", against item 2, for

the entry "Shri S. Thangasami'¹, the entry "Shri T.

Elumalai" shall be substituted.

S.O. 773(E>.—Whereas Shri G. Ramanujam, who was ap-

pointed as a member of the Madras Dock Labour Board by

Ihe notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of

Slipping and Tiansport (Trauspoit Wing) No. S.O. 414(E)

dated the 20th July, 1979, has jesigned his office under sub-

rule (3) of rule 4 of the Dock Workers (Regulation of Em-

ployment) Rules, 1962;

And whereas " vacancy has occurred in the said Dock

Labour Board by the resignation of the said member;

Now, therefore, in puisnanco of rule 4 of Ihe said rules,

the Cential Government heieby notifies the said vacancy.

S.O. 774(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (3) of section 5A of the Dock Workers (Regulation

of Employment) Act, 1948 (9 of 1948), read with tho second

proviso to sub-iule (1) of rule 4 of the Dock Workers (Regu-

lation of Employment) Rules, 1962, the Central Government

heieby appoints Shri T. C. Srinivasan, as a member of the'

Madras Dock Labour BoLid vice Shri G, Ramanujam, who

resigned, and directs that the following amendment shall be

made in the notification of Government of India i'l the Minis-

try of Shipping and Transport (Transport Wing), No. S.O.

412(E), dated the 27th June, 1978, namely :— '

In the said notification, under the heading "Members re-

presenting the dock workers", against item 3, for

the entry "Shri G. Ramanujajn", the entry "Shri.

T. C. Srinivasan" shall be substituted.
