NOTIFICATIONS

O.N. 74(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occurred

in

the

House of the People by the reason of the resignation

of

Shri Sarup Singh Hirya Naik, a

member elected to that

Honse from 15-Nandurbar(ST) Parliamentary constituency

in the State of Maharashtra;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of section

149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of

1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said

constituency to elect a person belonging to the

Scheduled

Tribes in the State of Maharashtra to fill the said vacancy

before 3rd December, 1981 in accordance with the provisions

of the said Act and of the Rules and orders made there-

under.

of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951),

the Election Commission hereby appoints, with respect to

th6 bye-election to be held in 15-Nandurbai(ST; Parliamen-

tary constituency in the Stale of Maharashtra in pursuance

of its notification No. 100|MT-HP|l|81-(1) dated 30th Oc!o-

ber, 1981 :— .

(a) the 6th November, 1981 (Friday), us the last

date

for making nominations;

(b) the 7th November, 1981 (Saturday), as the date for

the scrutiny of nominations;

(c) the 9th November, 1981 (Monday), us the last date

for the withdrawal of candidatures;

(d) the 29th November, 1981 (Sunday), as the date on

which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and

(e) the -3rd December, 1381 (Thursday), as the date

before which the election shall be completed.
