NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 20th October, 1981

S.O. 787(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by

section 3 of the Public Premises , (Eviction

of Unauthorised

Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), and in supersession of the

Notification No. S. O. 374(E) dated the 29th May, 1976, published

in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, sub-

section (ii), the Central Government hereby appoints the Officers

mentioned in column (1) of the Table below, being Officers equiva-

lent to the rank of a Gazetted Officer of the Government to be

the Estate Officers for the purposes of the said act and further,

directs that the said Officers shall exercise the powers conferred

and perform the duties imposed on the Estate Officer by or

under the said act within the local limits of

their respective

jurisdictions, in respect of the public premises

specified in

column (2) of the said table:—
