NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 21st November, 1981

OJ*. 86(E).—Whereas the Election Cammisrion of India, by ita notifica-

tion dated the 20th June 1981, had cancelled the poll taken at the byetlo^tioa

from 2-Gaihwal Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Uttar Pradesh

the programme for which had been notified by the Election Cummfttion ia

it» notification No. 10O|UP-HP|4|80(2), dated the «th May. 19*1;

And whereas, by a subsequent notification No. 100/UP-HP/4/80(2) dated

29th September 1981, the Commission fixed the 22nd November J981 a*

the date of repoll and 30th November 1981 as the date before which the

taid election shall be completed;

And whereat for the reasons stated in itg order dated the 14th November

1981, the ConuniBilon has cancelled the aforesaid date of repoll;

"Now therefore, in exercise of it* powtrs finder article 324 of (be Consti-

tution, gectioD 153 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 read with

section 30 of that Act and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, tbc

Election Commission hereby cancels the date of report fixed on the 22nd

November 1981 and directs that a fresh poll ehall be taken at all the pollinj

stations in the constituency on a date to be fixed by it in due coum and

for this purpose makes the following

amendments in its notification No.

100|UP-I)P|418(X2), dated the 6th May 1981, as amended;

Foe the existing clauses (d) and (e), the following clause shall be gubtrtitut

nuttely,

"(d) the 30th Juno, 1982 (Wednesday), as the date before which the Elec-

tion ehiU be completed".
