New Delhi, the 27th November, 1981

S.O. 833(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act,

1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, being requested

so to do by Dena Bank, establishes, with effect from the

29lh November 1981 a Regional Rural Bank in the State

of Gujarat under the name of Banaskantha-Mehsana Gramin

Bank which will operate within the local limits of the dis-

tricts of Banaskantha and Mehsana in the State of Gujarat.

S.O. 834(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Banks Act,

1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, after consulta-

tion, with the Reserve Bank of India and Dena Bank, by

which Banaskantha-Mehsana Gramin Bank has been spon-

sored, specifies Patan in the district of Mehsana as the place

where Banaskantha-Mehsana Gramin Bank shall have its

head office.
