S.R.O. 29-E.—Whereas the

Central Government, by the

notification of the Government of India in

the Ministry of

Defence, No S.R.O. 10-E, dated the 2nd March, 1981, had

declared that for the administration of the Meerut Canton-

ment, it

was desirable

to vary the

constitution

of the

Cantonment Board, Meerut;

And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that for

the administration of the Cantonment

Meerut, it is desirable

to extend the term of office of the said Board;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers

conferred by

the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 14 of the Canton-

ments Act, 1924 (2 of 1924 ),the Central Government hereby

extends the term of office of the said Board upto and inclusive

of the 2nd December, 1982.
