NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 5th December, 1981

G.S.R. 640(6).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of

rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby

exempts rough ophthalmic glass blanks including flint buttons, falling under

sub-item (4) of Item No, 23 A of the First Schedule to the Central Excise* and

Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), from the whole of the duty of excise leviable

thereon.

2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of the 30th day

of November, 1983.
