G.S.R. 641(E).—The following Order made by the President on 2lsf Novora-

bcr 1981 is published for general information: —

THE GOVERNORS OF THE STATES OF MANIPUR. AND TRIPURA

(ALLOWANCES AND PRIVILEGES) AMENDMENT ORDER, 1981

Ta exercise of the powers conferred by section 4is of the Nortb-Ecastern Areas

(Reorganisation) Act, 1971 (81 of 1971), the President hereby nafces the following

Order to amend the Governors of tho States of Manipur and Tripura (Allowances

and Pi'jvilcjjes) Order, 1972, nirnely :—

1. This Order rciay bo called the Governors of tho States of Manipur and Tri-

purn (Allowances aud Privileges) Amendment Order, 1981.

2. Tn paragraph 4 of tho Governors of the States of Manipur and Tripur.i (Allow.

nnces-ind Privies) Order, 1972 (hereinafter referred to as tho principal order),

in sub-pamgmph (2), after item (ii), the following item shall bo inserted, namely: -

"(iii) an Equipment Allowance of Rs. 1,600/-"'.

3. T,\ tho princ/'oa! Order, after paragraph 7, tho following paragraph, shall be

inserted, namely :—

"7A(l) The Governor shrill, darin.it the period of his leave, be entitled only to

a l^avo allowance at the rate of Rs. 2,750/- pa- moasem in lieu of his salary-

(2) An nctin^ Governor shall not bo entif/ei to any leavo allovvaneo".

4. Jn tho F'rst Schedule to thi Principal Order, in the entries relating to tho Staic

of Manipur, fur the entry in column (J), the entry "Rs. 40,000/-" shall ba substi-

tuted.

5. In the Second Schedule to the principal Order, with effect from tho 1st day

of April, 1981, for tho entries relating to tho State of IVtaaipur, the following entries
