NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 23rd December. 1981

S.O. 909(E).—In exercise of the powers conferied by sub-

section (1) of section 29B of the Industries (Development

and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Govern-

ment hereby makes the following further amendments to

the notification of the Government of India in the late

Ministry of Industrial Development (Department of Indus-

trial Development) No. S.O. 98(E)|IDttA|29'B|7j|l,

ddled

ihe 16th February, 1973, namely :—

In the said notification, in Schedule I,

(i) against serial No. 9, for entry in the third column,

the following entry shall be substituted, namely:—

"Confectionary (except chocolates)";

(ii) against serial No. 10, for entry in the third column,

the following cnU> sh;ill he substituted, namely:---

"Rapeseed Oil except solvant extracted (other than

ca&cs of State agro-cooperatives, nnd growers co-

operativei)";

(iii) againsi serial No. 11, for entry in the third column,

the following entry shall be substituted, namely:—

"Mustard Oil except solvant extracted (other than

cases of State agro-cooperatives nnd groweis co-

operatives)";

Uv) against seri.nl No. 12, for the entry in third column,

the following entry shall be substituted, namely:—

"Sesame Oil except solvent extracted (other than cases

of State agio-coopeiatives and growers coopera-

tives)";

(v) against serial No. 13, for the enfry in the third

column, the following entry shall be substituted,

namely:—

"Groundnut Oil except solvent extiacted (other than

cases of State agro-cooperatives and growers co-

operatives)";

fvl) after serial No. 124 and entries relating thereto, the

following serial No. and entriei thereto shall be

inserted, namely:—

(vii) against serial No. 129, for the figures and entry

in the second and third columns respectively, the

following figures and entries shall respectively be

stituted, namely :—

lowing figures and entries shall respectively be sub-

(xvi) against serial No. 380, fov the figures and entry in

the second and third columns respectively, the fol-

lowing figures and entry shall respectively be sub-

stituted, namely:—

ed in accordance with design Nos. 145215, 145216,

145299 (Nutan type Stoves) registered in the

(xvH) after serial No. 392 and the entries relating thereto,

the following serial number and entries thereto shall

be inserted, namely :—

in the second and third columns respectively, the

substituted, namely :—

column, the following entry shall be substituted,

namely:—

in the second and third columns respectively, the

520, 536, 653, 785 and 789 and entries relating

thereto shall be omitted.

2. In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 29B of the

Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of

1951), the Central Government hereby specifies a period of

six months from the date of publication of this notification

as the period after the expiry of which no owner of any

industrial undertaking, which was previously exempted from

the operation of sections 10, 11, 11A and 13 of the said Act

and which is not so exempt by virtue of this notification,

shall carry on the business of such undertaking, except

under and in accordance with a licence issued in this behalf

hy the Central Government, und in the cas>e ofaStnlc Gov-

ernment, except under and in accordance with the pievioui

permission of the Central Government.
