NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 26th December, 1981

G.S.R. 674(E).—The following draft of rules further to amend the Prevention

of Food Adulteration Rules. 1955. which the Central Government proposes to

make, in exercise of the powers conferred by section ?S of the Prevention of Food

adulteration Act, 1954 (37 of 1954), and after consultation with the Central

Committee fci Food Standards, is hereby published as requiiea by sub-secticn

(1) of stctior 23 of said Act, for the information of all persons likely to !K

affected ibeieby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be

take a into consideration on or¹ after the expirv of a period of 45 days frcrn the

date on which copies of the Official Gazette in which this notification wa^e

published are made available to the public.

Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with

respect to the said draft rules before the date so specified shall be considered by

the Central Government.

DRAFT RIFLES

1. TTwse rules may be called the Prevention of Food Adulteration

(Amend-

ment) Rules, 1981.

2. In the Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules. 1955, in rule 2, in clause (e),

after sub-clause (iii), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely :—

"(iv) in the case Of Ordance Factory or Equipment Factory, the General

Manager of such Factory or Equipment Factory or both."
