S.O. 234(E).—Whereas elections have been held in pur-

suance of notifications No. S.O. 114(E), dated the 1st March,

1982. No S.O. 132(E), dated the 10th March, 1982 and No.

S O 136(E), dated the 12th March, 1982, issued under section

12 of the Representation of thfc People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951),

for the purpose of filling the seats of the member* of the

Council of States elected by the elected members of the

Legislative Assemblies of the States of Gujarat, Jammu and

Kashmir, Karnflt&ka, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar,

Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra,

Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh who retired on

the 2nd April, 1982, on the expiration of their term

of

office ;

Now, therefore, 'In pursuance of section 71 6f the Represen-

tation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the names of

the members elected by the elected members of the Legis-
