G.S.R. 550(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub.

section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), and in supersession of the notification of the Government

of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue,

No. 82/82-Customs, dated

the 1st March, 1982, the Cen-

tral Government, being satisfied that it i§ necessary in the

public interest so to do, hereby exempts pig iron, when im-

ported into India, from the whole of the duty of customs

leviable thereon which is specified in the First Schedule to

the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) and the additional

duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the second men-

tioned Act.

2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive

of the 28th February, 1983.

G.S.R. 551(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), read with, subjection (4) of section 44 of the Finance

Act, 1982 (14 of 1982), the Central Government, being satisfied

that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby

makes the following further amendment in the notification

of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (De-

partment of Revenue) No, l'J6-Customs, dated the 11th May,

1982, namely ;—

1 In the Schedule to the said notification—•

(a) Serial No. 202 and the entries relating thereto shall

be omitted;

(b) after Serial No. 214 and this entries relating thereto,

the following Serial No. and entries shall be

in-

serted, namely :—

"215. No. 205-Customs, dated the 31st August, 1982"
