In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-iection (2) of

(Department of Revenue; No. 215/82-Centi;il Excises, dated ihe 30th Septem-

ber, iy82. the Central Government hcieby fixes a tariff, value of thiee hundred

Miii ninetj t'lipct!) per quintal of sugar falling under sub-item (1) of Hem No.

1 i_it the First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty nd-valoicm:

Provided that nothing contained nn this notification shall apply to sugar

required by ihe Central Government to be sold under clause (f) of sub section

(21 of section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (.10 of 1935).

2. Thi'j notification shall come into force on the 1st day of November,
