NOTIFICATION
G.S.R. 583 (E): -In exercise of the powers conferred by
section 642, read with sub-secticn (4B)t>f .-ecticn 10E, of the
Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government
hereby makes the following rules further to amend the •Com-
pany Law B a-d (Bench) Rules, 1075, (hereinafter called
"the said rules"), namely ;—
1, (1) These rules may be called the Company Law Board
(Bench) Amendment Rules, 1984,
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their
publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In rule 2 of the said rules, after clause (j), the following
clause shall be inserted, namely :•—
"(ja) "The Monopolies Act" means the Mono-
polies and Restrictive Trado Practices Act, 1969(54 of
1969);"
3. In rule 4 of the said rules, for the words, brackets figures
and letter, "Explanation to claufeO? A) of Sccticn2", the words,
figure and letter, "Section 2A of the Monopolies Act" shall
be substituted.
4. In rule 11 of the said rules,—
(1) in the Table to sub-rule (2), for the entiies relating
to Serial Number 1,—
(a) For the words, brackets, figures nnd letter, "I .xpiam -
ti m to Clause (18A) of Sccticn 2" in column 1, the
words, figure and letter, "Seciicn 2Arf thcMrnc-
p")lios Act" shall be substituted;
(b) For the word's,, "Determination of the tjuctticn whether
two or more individuals, etc., constitute or fall within
a group" in column 2, the wrrds "Determination of
any qucsti. n of p;rc up, inter-ci nncctic n or same manage-
ment in accordance with the provisions of Section 2A
of the Monopolies Act" shall be substituted.
(2) For sub-rule (3), the following shall be substituted
namely: -
"(3) Payment of fees.- Fees payable under this rule
shall be paid into the Public Accounr of India al the
following branches of the Punjab National Bank for
credit under the Head of Account-104 Other General
Economic Services- Fees realised
by the
Central
Government and Company Law Board on applications/
petitions made
to it under the Companies
Act,
1956, namely:—

(3) After sub-rule (3), the following shall be inserted,
namely : —
"(4) The fees payable under this rule may also be paid
by means of a Bank Draft drawn in favour of Pay and
Accounts Officer, Department ot Company Affair*.

"Act", the words "Act or the Monopolies Act" shall
be
substituted.
