Subject: The Standing Council for Constituting of Preliminary Enquiry Committee.

In Exercise of the power conferred under Section 4 (1)(a) of the Right to Fair Compensation

and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Compensation,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Development Plan) Rules, 2015, under sign is hereby pleased to

constitute a Preliminary Enquiry Committee for preliminary enquiry of the land to be acquired in the

District of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The following committee members are as below:

1. Deputy Director (Agriculture)- Member

2. Executive Engineer (Building)- member

3. Executive Engineer (Irrigation)- member

4. Mamlatdar(S)/(K)- Member

5. Assistant Conservator of Forests (HQ)- Member

6. District Panchayat (CEO)/Silvassa Municipal Council (CEO).

The Committee will also examine the alignment of the proposal and submit report.

DECLARATION

WHEREAS, vide Preliminary Notification No. 3/78/2020/LND-ACQ/2019-20/1778 dated

23/04/2021, it was Notified under section 11 of the Right to Fair compensation and Transparency in

Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, that the lands described in the Schedule

annexed with the said Notification was needed or likely to needed for the public purpose, namely for

the purpose of Acquisition of Land from Nani Daman Bus Stand, Rajiv Gandhi Setu to Hotel

Presidency Junction (Additional Proposal).

WHEREAS, as required under sub section (2) of section 15 of the Right to Fair compensation

and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, objection were

accorded personal hearing by the Collector, Daman on 04/08/2021, and a report was submitted to the

Government Authority i.e. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu for the

proceed with acquisition process and the same has been approved by the Appropriate Government i.e.

Administrator of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.

AND WHEREAS, the UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu is

satisfied on the basis of the Right to Fair compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, that the said land as described in the schedule hereto

hereafter referred to as the said land/lands is need for the public purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby declared under the Provision of Section 19 of the Land

Acquisition & Rehabilitation Act that the said lands are required for the public purpose, namely

Acquisition of Land from Nani Daman Bus Stand, Rajiv Gandhi Setu to Hotel Presidency Junction

(Additional Proposal). The details are mentioned below:-
