NOTIFICATION

In exercise of powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (3) of Section 79 of the Information

Technology Act, 2000 (Central Act 21 of 2000) (hereinafter referred to as ‘aforementioned Act’) read

with the first proviso to clause (d) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Information Technology (Intermediary

Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 along with Government of India, Ministry of

Home Affairs, New Delhi Notification bearing S.O. 3935(E) dated 25/10/2013, the Administrator,

Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu being the appropriate Government as

defined under clause (e) of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the aforementioned Act, hereby orders the

following:

1. The Inspector General of Police, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu to be the Nodal

Agency in Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu to perform the functions

under Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. The Superintendent of Police, Daman, to be the Nodal Officer, as per Section 79(3)(b) of the

Information Technology Act, 2000.
