का.आ.99(अ).- केंद्रीय सरकार, जनगणना धनयम 1990 के धनयम 6क और धनयम 6घ के

साथ पदित जनगणना अधिधनयम, 1948 (1948 का 37) की िारा 3 और िारा 17क द्वारा प्रदत्त शवियों

का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारत के राजपत्र असािारण, भाग II, िंड 3 उपिंड (ii) तारीि 9 जनवरी,

2020 में प्रकाधशत भारत सरकार के गृह मंत्रालय (भारत के महारख्जस्ट्रार का कायाटलय) की अधिसूचना

संययांक का.आ.119(अ) तारीि 7 जनवरी, 2020 को उन बातों के धसवाय अधिक्ांत करते हुए, ख्जन्हें

ऐसे अधिक्मण से पहले दकया गया है या करने का लोप दकया गया है, यह घोषणा करती है दक भारत

की जनगणना 2027 से संबंधित मकानसूचीकरण का कायट 1 अप्रैल, 2026 से 30 धसतंबर, 2026 के

बीच भारत के सभी राज्यों और संघ राज्य क्षेत्रों में प्रत्येक राज्य और संघ राज्य क्षेत्र द्वारा ववधनददटष्ट

तीस ददन की अवधि के दौरान दकया जाएगा। स्ट्व-गणना के धलए ववकल्प भी उपलब्ि होगा, जो दक

सरकारी राजपत्र

तीस ददन की घर-घर जाकर मकानसूचीकरण का कायट आरंभ होने से िीक पहले पंद्रह ददन की समयावधि

में संचाधलत दकया जाएगा।

संघ प्रदेश दादरा और नगर हवेली तथा दमण और दीव में, भारत की जनगणना 2027 के

मकानसूचीकरण का कायट 20 अप्रैल, 2026 से 19 मई, 2026 के बीच आयोख्जत दकया जाएगा और

स्ट्व-गणना की प्रदक्या, तीस ददनों के घर-घर जाकर दकये जाने वाले मकानसूचीकरण कायट के शुरू होने

से िीक पहले पंद्रह ददन पहले की अवधि में पूरी की जाएगी।

The following Notification of Ministry of Home Affairs is re-published for general information :-

MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 7^th January, 2026

S.O. 99(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 and section 17A of the Census Act,

1948 (37 of 1948) read with rules 6A and 6D of the Census Rules, 1990 and in supersession of the

notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs (Office of the Registrar General,

India) number S.O. 119(E), dated the 7^th January, 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,

Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 9^th January, 2020, except as respects things done or omitted

to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby declares that the houselisting

operations of the Census of India 2027 shall take place between 1^st April, 2026 and 30^th September, 2026

in all States and Union Territories in India. In U. T. of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu the

houselisting operations of the Census of India 2027 shall take place between 20^th April, 2026 to 19^th

May, 2026 and self-enumeration shall be conducted in fifteen days’ time period just before the start of

house to house houselisting operations of thirty days.
