No. F. 59(240)/DSW/RGO/98/Part III/-28213-223.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)

8B of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (28 of 1961) read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs notification

number S.O. 1560 dated the 29^th June, 1961 and in suppression of notification numbers F.59(240)/DSW/RGO/98 dated

the 3^rd September, 1998 and F.59(240)DSW/RGO/98/44-64 dated the 4^th January, 2001 except as respects things done or

omitted to be done before such suppression, the Lt. Governor is hereby pleased to designate the District Officers of the

Department of Women and Child Development, Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi as ‘Dowry Prohibition

Officers’ for implementing the provisions of the said Act, in respect of areas of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as
