NOTIFICATION

Delhi, the 5th November, 2018

No. F.9/87/2018/HG/6708-6713.—In the exercise of the powers conferred by Section 71 of the Delhi Prisons

Act, 2000 (Delhi Act no. 2 of 2002), the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, as per approval of Hon’ble

Minister (Home) , makes the following rules to amend the Delhi Prisons Rules, 2018, namely:—

1.

Short title and commencement. - (1) These Rules may be called the Delhi Prisons (Amendment) Rules, 2018.

(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1^st November, 2018.

2.

Amendment of Rule 1- In the Rule 1 of the Delhi Prisons Rules, 2018, in sub-rule (3), for the words & figures

“1^st November, 2018”, the words & figures “1st January, 2019” shall be substituted.
