NOTIFICATION

Delhi, the 1st September, 2017

F. No. 47/POLICY/RCS/COOP./2017/436(A).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 137 of the

Delhi Co-operative Societies Act, 2003 (Delhi Act 3 of 2004), the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of

Delhi, hereby, makes the following rules, to amend the Delhi Co-operative Societies Rules, 2007 namely:-

1. Short Title and Commencement:-

(1) These rules may be called the Delhi Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Rules, 2017

(2) They shall come into force on date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.

2. In the Delhi Co-operative Societies Rules, 2007, in rule 90, sub-rule(1), for the proviso, the following shall be

substituted, namely:-

“Provided that the Registrar shall recommend the names of members to conduct draw of lots after seeking

prior approval of the following committee:-

(1)

Secretary (Cooperation)

———— Chairman;

(2)

Registrar Cooperative Societies

———— Member;

(3)

Representative of Law & Justice Deptt.

———— Member;

not below the rank of Dy. Secretary

(4)

Representative of Finance Deptt.

———— Member; and

not below the rank of Dy. Secretary

(5)

Spl. Registrar/Addl. Registrar/Joint Registrar

———— Member.”
