Subject: Reconstitution of Ridge Management Board- regarding.

F. No. 11(26)/PA/DCF/95/Vol.VIII/Part/ 11765-87.—The Ridge Management Board is hereby

reconstituted consisting of the following members:

Tenure of the Non Governmental Organisations/Non-Official Members shall be up to 29.04.2022.

The functions of the Board shall be as follows:

i.

Execution of the management scheme for the Ridge forests as the green lungs of Delhi;

ii.

Protection of the boundary and boundary fences of the Ridge.

iii.

Preparation and execution of detailed plans for upgradation of the Ridge in accordance with sound

silvicultural practices applicable to city forests and natural resources.

iv.

Control of the usage by the public of such areas of the Ridge forests as may be declared as “open”

by the ‘Board’.

v.

Ensuring that there are no encroachments in excess of the areas allotted to the lawful allottees, till

they are shifted from the Ridge Forest under appropriate orders.

vi.

Any other functions ancillary to the above purposes.

vii.

The Board may co-opt for any of its meetings not more than two persons having special knowledge

of forestry, regional ecology, nature conservation and related subjects.

The order is in supersession of the following previous orders on the subject:
