NOTIFICATION

Delhi, the 9th June, 2021

F. 43(61)/Min./Div.Comm./2020/366.—In exercise of powers conferred by Section 16 of the Delhi

Minorities Commission Act-1999, (Delhi Act No.1 of 2000), the Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi,

hereby makes the following rules to amend the Delhi Minorities Commission Rules-2000, namely:-

1. Short Title and Commencement:- (1) The rules may be called the Delhi Minorities Commission (Amendment)

Rules-2021.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their notification in the Delhi Gazette.

2. Amendment of Rule 3 in Chapter-II:- In the Delhi Minorities Commission (Salary and other conditions of service

of the Chairperson and Members of the Commission) Rules-2000; in rule-3, the sub-rules (1) and (2), the following

sub-rules shall substituted, namely:-

“(1) There shall be paid to the Chairperson of the Commission, a fixed consolidated amount of Rs.2,00,000/-

(Rupees Two Lakhs only ) per mensem if he/she renders full time service. The Chairperson will also be entitled

to a car and house or HRA as applicable as per the extant rules.

(2) There shall be paid to each Member of the Commission a fixed consolidated amount of Rs. 100,000/-

(Rupees One Lakh only) per mensem if he/she renders full time service.”
