NOTIFICATION

Delhi, the 23rd June, 2021

No.F.1/28/2019/HG/1230-1242.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8 of the Bombay Home

Guards Act, 1947, as extended to the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Lt. Governor of National Capital

Territory of Delhi, hereby makes the following rules to amend the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959, namely :—

1.

Short title and commencement – (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Home Guards (2^nd Amendment)

Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.

2.

Amendment of rule 8 – In the Delhi Home Guard Rules, 1959, the eighth proviso of Rule 8 shall be

substituted namely: —

“provided also that, in order to meet short term requirements of Home Guard Volunteers in emergent

situation, Government may allow appointment of Home Guard Volunteers from the existing pool of Ex-Home Guard

Volunteers only, who are otherwise fit to be enrolled as per existing criteria.”

Note: The principal rule were published in Part-IV in the Delhi Gazette Extraordinary dated the 20th July, 1959,

2. Notification No.F.1/02/2019/HG/1413-1425, dated 27/03/2020.

3. Notification No.F.1/28/2019/HG/5840-5852, dated 03.10.2019.

4. Notification No.F.1/2/2019/HG/1016-1028, dated 27.02.2019.
