फा. सं. 14011/04/2022-दिल्ली-II.—दिल्ली नगर जनगम (संिोधन) अजधजनयम, 2022 द्वारा यथा-संिोजधत,

दिल्ली नगर जनगम अजधजनयम, 1957 की धारा-3 की उप-धारा (5) के अनुसार केन्द्र सरकार, एति् द्वारा दिल्ली नगर

जनगम में सीटों की कुल संख्या िो सौ पचास (250) अवधाररत करती है।

इसके अजतररक्त, पूवोक्त अजधजनयम की धारा-3 की उप-धारा (6) (यथा-संिोजधत) के अनुसार केन्द्र सरकार,

अनुसूजचत िाजतयों की िनसंख्या, दिल्ली की कुल िनसंख्या (िनगणना-2011) के साथ जिस प्रकार अनुपाजतत है, के

अनुसार सीटों की कुल संख्या के अनुपात में दिल्ली नगर जनगम में अनुसूजचत िाजतयों के सिस्ट्यों के जलए आरजक्षत सीटों की

कुल संख्या भी बयालीस (42) अवधाररत करती है।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 10th September, 2022

F. No. 14011/04/2022-Delhi-II.—In pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (5) of section 3 of

the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 as amended by the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment)

Act, 2022, the Central Government hereby determines the total number of seats of the Councillors in the

Municipal Corporation of Delhi as two hundred and fifty (250).

Further, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (6) of section 3 of the aforesaid Act (as

amended), the Central Government also determines the total number of seats of the Councillors in the

Municipal Corporation of delhi to be reserved for members of Scheduled Castes as forty-two (42), based on

the ratio to the total number of seats as the population of Scheduled Castes bears to the total population of

Delhi (Census 2011).
