GUJARAT PROVINCIAL MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1949.

No. KV-415 of 2025-UDUHD/MRT/e-file/18/2025/7729/P Section:- WHEREAS, the Government of Gujarat

appointed District Collector Surendranagar to be the Administrator of the Municipal Corporation of the City of

Surendranagar vide the Government Notification, Urban Development and Urban Housing Department No. KV - 20 of

2025 UDUHD/COC/e-file/18/2024/5957/P Section, dated the 01^st January, 2025, for the period of one year, Which has

commenced from the 01^st January, 2025, or till the councillors are elected in the first election of the said Municipal

Corporation, whichever is earlier.

AND WHEREAS the term of District Collector Surendranagar as the Administrator of the Municipal Corporation of

the City of Surendranagar is scheduled to be completed on 31.12.2025.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 22 and 22B in Part IV of Appendix IV under

section 493 of the Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949 (Bom. LIX of 1949), the Government of

Gujarat hereby extends the tenure of the District Collector of Surendranagar as the Administrator of the Municipal

Corporation of the City of Surendranagar. The District Collector of Surendranagar shall hold the office of the

Administrator for the Three months commencing from the 01^st January, 2026, or till the councillors are elected in the

first election of the said Municipal Corporation, whichever is earlier.
