EXCISE AND TAXATION DEPARTMENT

Notification

The 9th March, 2018

No. G.S.R.17/Const./Art.309/2018.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the

Constitution of India, the Governor of Haryana hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Haryana

Excise and Taxation Department Drivers (State Service Group-C) Rules, 1980, namely :-

These rules may be called the Haryana Excise and Taxation Department Drivers (State Service Group-C)

Amendment Rules, 2018.

In the Haryana Excise and Taxation Department Drivers (State Service Group-C) Rules, 1980 (hereinafter

called the said rules), in Rule 5, for the figures “30”, the words and sign “forty two” shall be substituted.

In the said rules, for Appendix B, the following Appendix shall be substituted, namely :-

“APPENDIX B

Designation

of post

Academic qualifications and experience, if

any, for direct recruitment

Academic qualifications and experience, if any, for

appointment other than by direct recruitment.

Driver

(i)

Matric;

(ii) should have a light vehicle valid

driving licence at least three years

old;

(iii) should have passed the driving test

conducted by the Haryana Staff

Selection Commission;

(iv) should not be colour blind; and

(v) Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard

or higher education;

By Promotion –

(i)

Matric;

(ii)

Peons, Restorers, Potehdars, Chowkidars,

Duplicator Operators and Daftris working in

the Excise and Taxation Department having

worked as such for a minimum period of three

years;

(iii)

should have a light vehicle valid driving

licence at least three years old;

(iv)

should have the passed the driving test

conducted by the Department;

(v)

should not be colour blind;

(vi)

Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard or higher

education; and

(vii) should not be more than fifty years of age;

By transfer or deputation-

(i)

Matric;

(ii)

should have a light vehicle valid driving

licence at least three years old;

(iii)

three years experience of driving light vehicle;

(iv)

should not be colour blind;

(v)

Hindi/Sankrit upto Matric standard or higher

education; and

(vi)

if not already working on the post of driver

then should not be more than fifty years of

age.”.
