Notification

No.23/12/2018-4-Power.— whereas under Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana (UDAY) of Govt. of India,

the State Govt. had signed the tripartite MOU with Haryana DISCOMS and Government of India on 11th March,

2016.

Whereas, as per clause 1.2(m) of tripartite MOU the State Government is committed to clear the outstanding

dues of the state government departments towards DISCOMs for supply of electricity.

NOW, THEREFORE, as approved by Council of ministers, Haryana to ensure clearance of all outstanding

dues of DISCOMs against various government Department/PSUs without any further delay, all the State Government

Departments including Irrigation, PHED, Urban Local Bodies, Development & Panchayat Department etc. and any

other PSUs which were in default as on 31st December, 2017 will deposit the principal amount in lump sum before

30th April, 2018 subject to the following conditions: -

(i)

Surcharge amount as on 31st December, 2017 shall be frozen.

(ii)

The frozen surcharge amount will be waived off on 31st March, 2019 subject to regular payment of electricity

bills w.e.f. January-2018 to March, 2019 failing which the frozen surcharge amount will be revived.

(iii)

This is a one-time waiver of surcharge on pending dues as on 31st December, 2017. With effect from

1st January, 2018 the surcharge shall be leviable on any delayed payment as per existing regulations.

(iv)

The Finance Department shall make necessary provisions in the budget of the Departments having defaulting

amount to clear their outstanding dues.
