HARYANA GOVERNMENT

EMPLOYMENT DEPARTMENT

Notification

The 21st September, 2018

No. GSR 56/Const./Art./309/2018.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the

Constitution of India, the Governor of Haryana hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Haryana

Employment Department (Group D) Service Rules, 1992 namely :-

These rules may be called the Haryana Employment Department (Group D) Service (Amendment)

Rules, 2018.

In the Haryana Employment Department (Group D) Service Rules, 1992 (hereinafter called the said rules), for

rule 5 the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-

“5. The age for recruitment to the service shall be such as specified in the Haryana Group D Employee

(Recruitment and Conditions of Service) ACT, 2018(5 of 2018).

In the said rules, for rule 9, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-

“9(1) Recruitment to the service shall be made, -

(a)

in case of Daftri, -

(i)

by promotion from the amongst peons ; or

(ii) by transfer or deputation of an official already in the service of any State Government or

the Government of India.

(b)

in case of Peon, -

(i)

by direct recruitment ; or

(ii) by transfer or deputation of an official already in the service of any State Government or

the Government of India.

(c)

in case of Sweeper-cum-Chowkidar, -

(i)

by direct recruitment ; or

(ii) by transfer or deputation of an official already in the service of any State Government or

the Government of India.

(2)

All promotions unless otherwise provided shall be made on seniority-cum- fitness basis and seniority

alone should not confer any right to such promotion.”

In the said rule for Appendix A, B, C and D the following Appendix shall to be substituted, namely:-
