Notification
The 12th February, 2019
No. G.S.R.10/Const./Art.309/2019.― In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the
Constitution of India, the Governor of Haryana hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Haryana Public
Works Department, Building and Roads Branch, Junior Engineers (Group-C) Service Rules, 1998 namely:-
1.
These rules may be called the Haryana Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) Branch, Junior Engineers
(Group-C) Amendment Service Rules, 2019.
2.
In the Haryana Public Works Department, Building and Roads Branch, Junior Engineers (Group-C) Service
Rules, 1998, in rule 5, for the figures and words “17 years” and “35 years”, the words and sign “eighteen years” and
“forty two years” shall be substituted respectively.
3.
In the said rules, in rule 9, in sub-rule (1),-
(i)
in clause (I), for sub-clause (i), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(i) 10% by promotion from amongst Group C employees; and”;
(ii)
in clause (II), for sub-clause (i), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(i) 10% by promotion from amongst Group C employees; and”;
(iii)
in clause (III), for sub-clause (i), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(i) 10% by promotion from amongst Group C employees; and”;
(iv)
in clause (IV), for sub-clause (i), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(i) 10% by promotion from amongst Group C employees; and”.

(a) Matric or its equivalent;
and
(b) Eight years experience
as Horticulture
Supervisor;
By transfer or deputation-
(i)
Degree
in
Agriculture
/Horticulture
from
a
recognized university; and
(ii) Five years experience on any
Group-C post; and
(iii) Hindi/ Sanskrit upto Matric
Standard
or
Higher
Education.
Note 1: Only candidates having Diploma or Degree or its equivalent qualifications as recognized by Government
shall be eligible.
Note 2: Any higher qualification obtained after joining the service, without prior permission of the competent
authority, shall not be considered for any service benefit.
