Notification

The 21st August, 2019

No. SEC/4E-II/2019/1176.— Whereas, State Election Commission has prescribed schedule for the conduct of

bye elections to the post of Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Nirthan, Block Kharkhoda, District Sonipat and Sarpanch,

Gram Panchayat Agondh, Block Guhla, District Kaithal, vide its notification No. SEC/4E-II/2019/1162, dated

14/08/2019. As per schedule nomination papers, display the list of nomination papers received and filing of

affidavit/declaration were to be made between 22.08.2019 and 28.08.2019 (except 24.08.2019 & 25.08.2019) by the

authorities concerned.

Whereas, the State Govt. has declared gazetted holiday on 23rd August, 2019 on occasion of Janmashtami,

instead of 24th August, 2019, under the Negotiable Instrument Act, 188, vide its notification No. 28/67/2008-3GSII,

dated 20th August, 2019. In view of above, the State Election Commission, Haryana hereby revise the schedule of

bye election and orders that now the presenting of nomination papers, display the list of nomination papers received

and filing of affidavit/declaration shall be made between 22.08.2019 to 28.08.2019 (except 23.08.2019 & 25.08.2019

being gazetted holidays).

It is further directed that:

(i)

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (P) shall give wide publicity to the above change

and inform in writing to the officers concerned for compliance.

(ii)

Other instructions/directions contained in notification referred above shall remain unchanged.
