Notification

The 5th September, 2019

No. SEC/4E-II/2019/1230.— Whereas the State Election Commission, Haryana vide its Notification

No. SEC/ 4E-II/2019/1162, dated 14.08.2019 issued programme to conduct the bye elections to the seat of Sarpanch,

Gram Panchayat Nirthan, Block Kharkhoda, District Sonipat, according to which election notice was published

on 16.08.2019 and the polling is scheduled on 08.09.2019.

Whereas, Deputy Commissioner, Sonipat vide Endst.No. 6449, dated 27.08.2019 informed that in CWP

No.1140 of 2019 filed by Sh.Shri Bhagwan has challenged his removal orders dated 26.09.2018 as Sarpanch, Gram

Panchayat Nirthan, Block Kharkhoda, District Sonipat. Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana passed order dated 22.08.2019,

reproduced as under:–

“Considering the nature of the allegations, it is ordered that the election notice dated

16.08.2019 (Annexure A-1) be not acted upon till the next date of hearing. Post the

matter for final disposal on 03.09.2019.”

And whereas in compliance of above orders of the Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court, the State Election

Commission, Haryana hereby orders that all activities on the notification referred above in respect of the election of

Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Nirthan, Block Kharkhoda, District Sonipat shall remain stopped with immediate effect

and election to this seat shall not be held till further orders.
