Notification

The 14th February, 2020

No. SEC/1ME/2020/467.— Whereas, the name of Mrs. Poonam Devi W/o Sh.Sikander was notified as a

Member of (Ward No. 01) Municipal Council, Narwana by the State Election Commission, Haryana vide Notification

No. SEC/1ME/2016/1340 dated 27.05.2016.

Whereas, Smt. Krishna Devi W/o Sh. Rajinder Singh R/o Shastri Nagar, Near Dada Khera, Ward No. 01,

Narwana, District Jind had challenged the election of Mrs. Poonam Devi through petition No. 114 of 2016 on the

ground that she had furnished wrong information about her educational qualification while filing nomination papers

from Ward No. 01 of Municipal Council, Narwana. This petition has finally been decided by the Hon’ble Court on

05.12.2019, with the following orders:-

“ the petition of the petitioner is allowed with costs to the effect that the election of respondent no. 1 is

set aside and declared void. A copy of this judgement be sent to the Dy. Commissioner, Jind for taking

necessary action in accordance with law.”

And, whereas, in view of the orders of Hon’ble Court, the State Election Commission, Haryana hereby

de-notifies the name of Mrs. Poonam Devi W/o Sh. Sikander, Member, Ward No. 01, Municipal Council, Narwana

from the notification referred to above.
