Notification

The 8th September, 2020

No. SEC/4E-II/2020/1052.— Whereas the State Election Commission vide its notification No. SEC/4E–II/

2020/328, dated 20.03.2019 had denotified the name of Smt. Suresh W/o Sh. Chand Singh under section 161 (4) of

the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 as elected Chairman, Panchayat Samiti, Lakhanmajra, District Rohtak.

And whereas, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (Panchayat), Rohtak vide his letter

No. 5717/Panchayat P.A., dated 26.08.2020 has forwarded a copy of order dated 12.04.2019 passed by Hon’ble

Punjab & Haryana High Court in CWP No.10098/2019—Suresh Vs. State of Haryana & others, operative part of the

order is reproduced below:

―Operation and effect of the proceedings of the meeting dated 08.03.2019

alongwith the result (Annexure P-2 colly) shall remain stayed till the next

date of hearing.‖

The Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak in subsequent letter dated 27.08.2019 has further clarified that orders

dated 12.04.2019 of the Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court referred above is still continue and the case is further

fixed for hearing on 06.10.2020.

In compliance of above orders dated 12.04.2019 of Hon’ble High Court, State Election Commission, Haryana

hereby orders to withdraw its notification No. SEC/4E-II/2020/328, dated 20.03.2020 with immediate effect.
