No. 315-SW(3).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso under Section-27 Chapter-V of Juvenile

Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Rule 15 of Chapter-IV of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection

of Children) Model Rules, 2016 and as per recommendations of Selection Committee constituted vide Notification

No. 141-SW(3)-2018 dated 01.02.2018 and all others powers enabling them in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana

is pleased to appoint following Chairperson/Member (Child welfare Committee) and Member (Juvenile Justice Board)

in the present composition of the Borad/Committee for Panchkula and Palwal districts as per details given below:-

Terms & Condition:

The term of the Chairperson and Members, Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board shall be

reckoned from the date of his/her notification for a period of one year which may be extended upto three years as per

yearly evaluation of their work as per provisions mentioned under (i), (ii) & (iii) of Sub-section 7 of Section 27 and

(i), (ii), (iii) & (iv) of Sub-section 7 of Section 4 respectively of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children)

Act, 2015.

Functions and responsibilities:

The Chairperson and Member Child Welfare Committee will exercise the power as per provision mentioned

under Section 28, 29 & 30 of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and as per rule 15, 16 & 17

of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Model Rule, 2016. The Clause (9) of Section 27 will be notified in

due course as per instruction and procedure of Government.

The Member, Juvenile Justice board will exercise the power as per provision mentioned under Section 8 of

Juvenile (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and as per Rule 6 & 7 of Juvenile (Care & Protection of Children)

Model Rules, 2016.

The clause (9) of section 27 of JJ Act, 2015 will be notified in due course as per instruction and procedure of

Government.
