Notification

No. 31/HWRA/2021.— In exercise of the powers conferred by of sub-section 3 of Section 7 of the Haryana

Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation and Management) Authority Act, 2020, the Haryana Water Resources

Authority hereby makes the following regulations, namely:–

1.

Short title and commencement– (1) These Regulations may be called the Haryana Water Resources

Authority (Declaration by Chairperson and Members of the Authority) Regulations, 2021.

They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette.

2.

Definitions – (1) In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires:-

(a)

“Act” means the Haryana Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation and Management) Authority Act,

2020;

(b)

“Appendix” means the appendix to these Regulations:

“Competent Authority” means–

(i)

in respect of the Chairperson of the Authority, the Government ;

(ii)

in respect of the members of the Authority, the Chairperson.

(d)

“Declaration” means the declaration made under sub-section 3 of Section 7 of the Act;

(e)

“Form” means the forms for declaration as specified in the Appendices;

(f)

“section” or “sub-section”, as the case may be, refers to a section or sub-section, respectively, of the Act.

(2)

Words and expressions used herein and not defined in these regulations but defined in the Act shall

have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.

3.

Form and manner of Declaration– The Chairperson and Members, as the case may be, within reasonable

period of appointment and on the 31st day of December every year, make a declaration of the Competent Authority,

in the format specified in Appendix-I and Appendix-II.

The declaration so made shall be placed on the website of the Authority.

4.

Intimation of Interest by Chairperson and Members– (1) Chairperson and Members, as the case may be,

shall as soon as he acquires, or becomes aware of the acquisition by a family member, of any interest as mentioned

under sub-section 3 of Section 7, intimate in writing, such acquisition to the Competent Authority.
