The 4th August, 2021

No. 337-SW(2)-2021.— The Governor of Haryana is pleased to constitute a State Level Vigilance and

Monitoring Committee under Rule 16 of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities)

Rules, 1995 (as amended in the year 2016 and 2018) to review the implementation of the provisions of the Scheduled

Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 consisting of the following members:

Chief Minister, Haryana

(ii)

Finance Minister, Haryana

Member

(iii)

Home Minister, Haryana

Member

(iv)

Minister, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Haryana

(v)

The function of the Committee is as under:

To review the implementation of the provisions of the Act, scheme for the rights and entitlements of victims

and witnesses in accessing justice as specified in sub-section (11) of section 15-A of Chapter IV-A of the Act, relief

and rehabilitation facilities provided to the victims and other matters connected therewith, prosecution of cases under

the Act, role of different officers/agencies responsible for implementing the provisions of the Act and review of

various reports received by the State Government including that of Nodal Officer and Special Officer.

3.

The committee shall meet at least twice in a calendar year in the month of January and July.

4.

The Headquarter of the Committee will be at Chandigarh.
