Notification

The 9th September, 2022

No. 8/29/2022-4CII.— In exercise of the power conferred under clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 69

of the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973 (24 of 1973) and in supersession of Haryana Government, Urban Local Bodies

Department, notification No. 8/5/2021-4CII dated the 5th March, 2021, the Governor of Haryana, hereby directs that

the duty on transfer of immovable property situated within the limits of municipalities in the State by way of every

instrument of description specified under the said clause (c) shall be at the rate of two per centum in addition to duty

imposed under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act 2 of 1899), as in force for the time being in the State of

Haryana. The said duty shall be collected at the time of registration of the said documents by the Registrar or the

Sub-Registrar under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act 2 of 1899). One per centum of such duty so collected

shall be paid to the respective municipality within whose jurisdiction such immovable property is situated and

remaining one per centum shall be paid to the Haryana Urban Infrastructural Development Board.
