Notification

The 16th March, 2023

No. 4/02/2023-2CI.— In exercise of the powers conferred under clauses (c) to (g) of sub-section (1),

sub-sections (2), (4) and (7) of section 257 and section 276 of the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973 (24 of 1973) and with

reference to the Haryana Government, Urban Local Bodies Department, Notification No. 4/02/2023-2CI, dated

the 31^st January, 2023, the Governor of Haryana, with the consultation of State Election Commission hereby makes

the following rules further to amend the Haryana Municipal Election Rules, 1978, namely :-

1.

These rules may be called the Haryana Municipal Elections (Amendment) Rules, 2023.

2.

In the Haryana Municipal Elections Rules, 1978, in rule 72A, in the proviso to sub-rule (3), for the words

“date on which the election of the Vice-President was notified”, the words “date of election of the Vice-President”

shall be substituted.
