No. 189 Rules/XI.Y.16.— Dated 20/11/2023.

The following amendment in the provisions of the First Schedule to the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 for the

States of Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory, Chandigarh, after publication of the draft Notification No. 224

Rules/XI.Y.16 dated 23.12.2013 in the Government Gazettes of Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory, Chandigarh

and with the approval of the Government of India, is hereby published for general information under the provisions of

Section 127 of the said Code read with Rule 6, Chapter 9-B of the Rules and Orders of Punjab and Haryana High

Court, Volume-V :-

I.

Sub-rule (1) of Order XIII Rule 1 of Code of Civil Procedure, substituted vide Notification

No. GSR 39C.A.5/1908/S.12257, dated 17.03.1975 is ‘omitted’.

II.

Sub-rule (4) of Order XIII Rule 1 of CPC is added in the following manner:-

“1. Original documents to be produced at or before the settlement of issues:-

(4) The documents as mentioned in sub-rule (1) and all other documents which the Court

orders to be produced, shall be produced in the following Form No. 5 of Appendix H

(Miscellaneous) of the Appendices to the First Schedule of CPC by substituting the

existing Form No. 5:-
