Notification

The 29th January, 2026

No. 130-R-3-2026/638.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 and section 17A of the Census Act,

1948 (37 of 1948) read with rules 6A, 6D and 8 of the Census Rules, 1990 and in supersession of the notification of

the Government of Haryana bearing no. 1928-R-6-2019/12082, dated 22nd November, 2019, published in the

Haryana Gazette, 197-2019/Ext., except as respects to things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the

Government of Haryana hereby declares that the house-listing operation of the Census of India 2027 in the state of

Haryana will be conducted over a period of thirty days from 1st May, 2026 to 30th May, 2026. There shall also be an

option for self-enumeration which shall be conducted from 16th April, 2026 to 30th April, 2026.
