Notification

The 26th February, 2026

No. 16/5/2014-3H(C).— In exercise of the powers conferred under the first proviso to item (I) of

sub-clause (ii) of clause (d) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and

Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 read with clause (b) of sub-section (3) of section 79 of the Information

Technology, Act, 2000 (Central Act 21 of 2000) and in supersession of the Haryana Government, Home

Department, notification No. 16/5/20014-3H(C), dated the 14^th August, 2024, the Governor of Haryana hereby

authorises the Haryana Police to be agency of State of Haryana to perform the functions under the said Act and

further authorise the officers of the Haryana Police in the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police and above to

notify the instances of information, data or communication link residing in or connected to a computer resource

controlled by the intermediary being used to commit the unlawful act.
