Notification

The 27th July, 2026

No. SEC/4E-II/2026/1027.— Whereas, the State Election Commission, Haryana vide notification

No. SEC/E-II/2023/280, dated 23.01.2023 had notified the name of Smt. Parvesh Kumari w/o Sh. Sohan Singh

as President, Zila Parishad, Karnal, District Karnal under section 161 (4) of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

And whereas the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (Panchayat), Karnal vide letter

No.7504/Panchayat, dated 23.07.2026 has informed that in a meeting held on 23.07.2026, “No Confidence Motion”

has been passed against Smt. Parvesh Kumari w/o Sh. Sohan Singh, President, Zila Parishad, Karnal, District Karnal.

The Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (Panchayat), Karnal has requested to de-notify her name as

President of Zila Parishad, Karnal, District Karnal.

In view of the above, the State Election Commission, Haryana hereby denotifies the name of

Smt. Parvesh Kumari w/o Sh. Sohan Singh from the post of President of Zila Parishad, Karnal, District Karnal with

immediate effect.
