Notification

The 7th August, 2026

No. SEC/4E-II/2026/1093.— Whereas, the State Election Commission, Haryana vide notification

No. SEC/4E-II/ 2023/289, dated 21.01.2023 had notified the name of Smt. Jyoti W/o Sh. Narender Kumar as

Chairman, Panchayat Samiti, Kalayat, District Kaithal under section 161 (4) of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

And whereas the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (Panchayat), Kaithal vide letter

No. 3528/Panchayat Election, dated 03.08.2026 has informed that in a meeting held on 23.07.2026, “No Confidence Motion”

has been passed against Smt. Jyoti W/o Sh. Narender Kumar, Chairman, Panchayat Samiti, Kalayat, District Kaithal.

The Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (Panchayat), Kaithal has requested to de-notify his name as

Chairman of Panchayat Samiti, Kalayat, District Kaithal.

In view of the above, the State Election Commission, Haryana hereby denotifies the name of Smt. Jyoti W/o

Sh. Narender Kumar from the post of Chairman of Panchayat Samiti, Kalayat, District Kaithal with Immediate effect.
